USCANJ is a non-profit network of alumni and current students of 4-year U.S. colleges. We hope to broaden the range of educational opportunities available to youth in Japan by providing info on U.S. undergraduate education.

Overview
With support from Japan-based alumni clubs of U.S. colleges, U.S. college alumni and current undergraduate volunteers organized an intercollegiate information session on U.S. undergraduate programs on August 22, 2010 in Tokyo.
The goal of the event was to disseminate accurate and up-to-date information on U.S. colleges and the U.S. college application process to motivated and internationally-minded students at primarily Japanese-speaking junior high and high schools, their families, and Japanese junior high and high school instructors. The talks were mainly given in Japanese, but students at international schools and their families were also among the attendees. The information session had a “college fair” component where participants will be able to talk freely in Japanese and English with current undergraduates and alumni of several U.S. Colleges.
Since then, USCANJ has hosted a similarly-structured information session every year.
